Cinematic arrangements. Crushing riffs. Choruses you’ll be yelling on the drive home.
We’re BLOODFATE, a symphonic power metal band with a modern, heavy edge. Think Nightwish meets In Flames and Battle Beast.
Born in Bogotá. Reborn in New York.
It all started in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2010, when guitarist AL Javier set out to build a band that sounded like a film score with the amps turned all the way up.
It worked. BLOODFATE released the Evolution EP and the single Shout Out Loud!!, played Rock al Parque Festival, one of the biggest festivals in South America, with competitive slots, and shared stages with Children of Bodom, Kamelot and Rhapsody of Fire. Not a bad start.
Then life happened. The lineup split, AL Javier moved to New York, and BLOODFATE went quiet for a while. Quiet, but never dead.
Now BLOODFATE is back, based in New York City and playing its rock and metal scene with a lineup from three countries: AL Javier from Colombia, Emilie Bienne from the USA, and Philippe from Canada. AL Javier and Emilie write the songs together, and Philippe brings the low end.

Meet the Band

AL Javier — Guitar & Songwriting
The founder and the one who refused to let this band stay buried. Colombian-born, conservatory-trained, and making music since he was nine, AL Javier plays lead guitar, composes, and produces for BLOODFATE.
Offstage, he works in music production.
Emilie Bienne — Vocals & Songwriting
From Michigan and trained at the Boston Conservatory, Emilie has sung at Lincoln Center, soloed with Boheme Opera NJ, and performed at Tokyo Disney.
Rock, blues, classical and theater. BLOODFATE is where it all comes together.

Philippe — Bass
Canadian-born and New York-based, Philippe holds down the low end. He never stops moving, and if someone is dancing their heart out on the BLOODFATE stage, it’s Philippe.
